NASHVILLE, Tenn.--( BUSINESS WIRE )--Change Healthcare today announced that it is collaborating with Health Fidelity , Inc. to offer a risk adjustment solution that embeds natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning technology into its risk adjustment coding offering to help Medicare Advantage, ACA commercial, and Medicaid payers increase claim accuracy and better address compliance obligations.

In today’s value-based environment, health plans are under mounting pressure to submit well-supported codes, and the cost of non-compliance can be substantial. However, risk adjustment remains a predominantly manual and tedious process in which coding specialists review records for unreported risk conditions. Now, leveraging Health Fidelity’s NLP technology, coders will be better able to prioritize and review charts with greater accuracy and compliance.

Overview of Position

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

+ Review, analyze and abstract ICD -10-CM codes from patient medical records to ensure accurate coding supported by the clinical documentation.

+ Assist coding leadership by making recommendations for process improvements to further enhance coding goals and outcomes

+ Assist on other related duties as required or assigned.

+ Coder is responsible for meeting daily production goal and quality goal of averaging 95% accuracy rate on a consistent basis

+ Participate in internal QA audits and provide feedback in the compliance QA process.

What are the requirements needed for this position?

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ Professional Coding Certification CPC , CCS or CCS -P required

+ 1-3 years Production Coding experience with both quality and productivity requirements

+ Proficient with Excel and MS office products

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Work well both individually and as part of a group

+ Time Management

+ Detail Oriented

+ Problem Solving

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

+ General Office duties

+ 8 hours – Monday – Friday
